DeHaan Labs rasies all of our litters right within our home. The litter is whelped in the office and as the puppies out grow the whelping pen, they are moved to larger and larger areas within our home until they are eating food on their own. At that time, the puppies are in our garage so mom (and us) have easy access to them. We weigh each puppy individually every day for the first 3 weeks. We supplement with bottle feeding so each puppy receives adequate nutrition. The puppies are raised with Puppy Culture, Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. We handle each puppy multiple times per day until they go to their new homes.
Since DeHaan Labs is a small family operated breeder, we typically only have one litter per year. However, from time to time, we may highlight other breeder's litters. These litters will be from a health tested sire and dam. We will have first hand knowledge of either the sire and/or dam; meaning that we have either personally hunted alongside either the sire and/or dam or have personally watched the sire and/or dam in one or more hunt test scenarios and can attest to the talent and attributes this litter may possess. All communications will take place directly with the breeder of the litter and in no way will DeHaan Labs warranty or represent the litter in any way.
PUPPIES ARE HERE!!!!! Ice x Georgie 11 puppies are here! Born on July 8. 5 black females, 2 yellow females, 3 black males, and 1 yellow male. Go home date will be the first part of September 2026, right around Labor Day weekend!
We traveled to the Little Rock, Arkansas area to breed Georgie to SRSAC 10xGrHRCH UH HOF Ice Needs Whiskey QAA MNH HOF. A prestigious member of both the HRC HOF and the AKC HOF. Ice is one of the few sires out there having HOF status in both organizations. We are expecting a black and yellow litter. Ice brings a wealth of talent and success in several different hunt test venues as well as real life waterfowl hunting. We expect a medium sized lab as an adult but with a muscular, athletic frame and gorgeous head! Calm and quiet on the line with hard charging straight lines running marks and blinds. Health tested and proven sire that is a joy to have in the house or kennel. After meeting Ice in person, we are even more excited about the potential and disposition of this litter! Even more good news! Ice has moved up to #2 on the HRC Top Sires List for 2026 AND has cracked the Top Ten in the All Time list! He is an incredible producer!
This litter has sold out! Check with again as we will soon be planning on our 2027 litter with our young female Tymber. Yes, all health tests will be completed and hunt tests run and hopefully titles earned prior to that litter!
